I made this up a long time ago and I still like it.  I have told my kids from a very young age that I want them to be “Happy, Healthy, and Responsible.”  Some of my friends that I have mentioned this to tell me that the last one of these seems to be the most difficult as it covers so many areas.  Being responsible can mean anything from turning lights off as soon as you leave the room, keeping your room clean and neat, eating less junk food, to paying your bills on time (as you get older), being kind and caring to your yourself and others and a trillion other things. As I watch my kids and grandkids, I have to say they do pretty well. They all seem to be happy and healthy and very kind and polite and caring to others. Of course, I am prejudiced.  But I just wondered what others think of this. Would love to hear from you on this.
