Don’t know if this will help you but believe you, me, this has helped me more times than I could count. I have rather severe osteoarthritis with pain that wakes me up at night. I would like you to try this, especially, at night. Take deep breaths and concentrate totally on the area of your pain. For instance, in your low back. Breath in and imagine your air going directly to that area. Then breath out and imagine your pain going “out.” You might say something like, “Good air in.” As you take a deep breath in and, “Pain out.” As you breath out. You must do this over and over as you concentrate, totally, on what you are trying to accomplish. This advice is only for chronic pain. For goodness sakes, don’t try this on any sudden onset pain that needs to be addressed by your Doctor. Or for any severe pain that is worse than you are used to having with your chronic pain.
As most of you know, this is not new, earth shattering, advice. Women are taught this as part of their Lamaze classes prior to childbirth.
I would love to hear from anyone out there that this has helped. Thanks.
