Bottom Line #1. Everyday, try to find someone, preferably someone like a waitress or store clerk or just someone sitting in a restaurant that you don’t even know, and say something nice (and unexpected) to them. If you can’t find someone like that then choose a family member or friend. If that’s also not possible then look in the mirror and compliment yourself.
Bottom Line #2. Drink more water and wash your hands more often.
Bottom Line #3. It is better to waste food outside your body than inside.
Bottom Line #4. How you treat yourself and others is much more important than how much money, property, or notoriety you have. Let your light shine with love toward yourself and others.
Bottom Line #5. Get rid of your “vats of bats” as I call it. Long standing anger and bitterness usually hurts you far more than it hurts any other person or persons. Don’t let someone else continue to “control” your life. So, let it go and fill your mind and heart with love and forgiveness.
Bottom Line #6. Generally speaking we should all heed the advice of “never a borrower or lender be.” Personally, I can think of times I myself should have heeded this.
Bottom Line #7. Try to “live beneath your means.” I guess this goes with #6 above. I remember a friend of mine telling me that she and her husband would sit down with their credit cards and add up how much they had access to and that they would consider those amounts as part of how much they were worth. Yikes!
Bottom Line #8. Never, ever carry a balance on your credit card. Pay the balance off each month.
Bottom Line #9. Try to “fast” for 12 hours each day. For instance do not eat anything from 8:00 PM until 8:00 AM. This will help you lose weight.
Bottom Line #10. “It isn’t the burdens of today that drives men mad. It is the regrets over yesterday and the fear of tomorrow. Regrets and fear are twin thieves who rob us of today.” Robert J. Hastings in “The Station.” Let’s all try to be more thankful for the blessings of today.
Bottom Line #11. Try to be a better listener. If there is one thing that will help you win and keep friends, that may be it. Could also help you be a better mate and/or parent as well as a better boss or employee!
I feel sure there are many more “Bottom Lines” out there. If I think of more, I will add to this and if you as a reader think of more, please let me know.
Thanks for reading.
