1. I may have mentioned this before about using your “K” cups (for coffee) more than once. Just turn the cup around to make sure you have a new space for the hole in the bottom. But I also needed to tell you that you need to allow the plastic housing to cool before you use it again. If not, the housing will buckle. Anyway, I use the cup three times. The first time is too strong for me but just right for my husband.
2. Wrap your cabbage head in paper towels (just like you do your lettuce) before storing in your refrigerator. And again, wrap your celery in foil before refrigerating. Don’t refrigerate your bread as it will mold more quickly. Also, don’t refrigerate your tomatoes unless you absolutely have to, to save them. Don’t wash your tomatoes or berries or most any other fruits or vegetables until right before you use them. Then, definitely, wash them carefully. If you do wash your fresh mushrooms (I do, even though I’ve read that you should just brush them off), wash them very quickly. I do not use soap for any of the above but have read that you can. I’m just not sure which kind of soap.
3. Drink more water. I’ve said this before but I also need to mention that the latest news seems to tell us to always use filtered water rather than just from the spigot. I saw a special on T. V. that was pretty scary. It was mostly telling about what happened in Flint, Michigan, but also talked about how this could be happening all over the U. S. (Yikes)
4. Wash your hands more. I’ve also mentioned this before but it is even more critical now.
5. I, generally, don’t like to criticize people for their beliefs (if they are just different from mine and legal and relatively minor) but I do have a problem with people refusing to wear mask right now when out in public and saying it is their right to refuse to wear a mask. What I think they are saying is that they don’t care if they catch the “virus” but what they are missing (I think) is that they don’t care if they give the virus to others. For instance, they could be asymptomatic carriers. Anyway, this is just my opinion.
6. I recently heard an interesting definition of the word “love.” The person said that in her mind she prefers her significant other to show her he loves her rather than constantly saying “I love you.” In other words her definition of the word love is “action.” I thought this was a nice way to describe it but personally I like to hear it as well as see it.
7. To all females everywhere: always try to look your best. Remember, males are visually oriented. What kind of person you are is also important but men can’t help it. It is in their DNA. They like to see you in sexy lingerie even though you, personally, might prefer a tee shirt and “granny” panties.
