I read a quote from one of my favorite persons recently (Dolly Parton) where she mentioned that the Bible says, “A house divided will not stand.” She went on to say something to the effect that not only is this country divided but that the whole world is divided right now. I couldn’t agree more. I, personally, have seen families, friends, and neighbors divided over politics and Covid issues to a degree that I have never witnessed or experienced in my lifetime. Now to see political issues (especially Ukraine) dividing countries just makes me heart sick. I do not intend to get into any kind of political or religious or any other kind of argument on this blog but just to express my dismay over what seems to be happening to humans everywhere. Why can we not learn from history. Why can we not learn basic principles of love, respect, and kindness to others as well as to ourselves?
